About Us
Scouting America offers leadership and outdoor adventure to all youth ages 5-20. The Golden Gate District includes Cubs, Scouts, Sea Scouts, Exploring, and Venturing programs in San Francisco and the northern portion of Daly City. Each scouting program has a slightly different focus and opportunities for various age groups.Â

Friends of Scouting
Friends of Scouting is the fundraising program for scouts in the Golden Gate District. All funs go directly to helping scouts attend camp, cover their membership fees, and get outdoors! Our District's goal for 2025 is $60,000. Our hope is that:
Each unit participates in the program, including featuring a Friends of Scouting presentation at one of your unit meetings
Every member of the District Operating Committee makes a pledge
We maximize use of the Council's and individual business's matching funds
